Meet Your Indianapolis Periodontal Team

Gentle. Professional. Caring. Honest.

Our dental team knows that we are here to serve YOU. That is why we operate by the golden rule: treat others as we would like to be treated.

I obtained my Dental Assistant Certificate in 2009. For the first few years of my career, I worked chair-side and would spend part of my day helping with insurance and front office tasks. I gained a lot of knowledge and enjoyed working on the business side of dentistry. I made my transition to the front office full-time and love it! I enjoy working with patients, helping them understand their treatment plans, how their insurance benefits work, and seeing their progression and change throughout their treatment!

My husband Keith and I have four boys, KJ, Koby, Kaleb, and Kyler. They keep us very busy with their sporting events (ball is life around our house) and activities! We enjoy spending time with family; when weather permits, we spend lots of time outside! We also enjoy taking family vacations!

I began my career in dentistry in 1994 as a front desk assistant.  I soon realized my passion for small business management and continued to dental office management for the next 12 years.  In 2006, I transitioned to multi-office management and administration and specialized in training dental operating systems and procedures.  My passion for organization and customer service led me to join Dr. Lane's team in February 2020.  Creating new systems for better workflow while helping patients get the dental care they need is a great feeling!

My husband and I have two sons and a daughter in law. In my free time, you will find me on the golf course with my husband.

I started work in the front office of a general dentistry practice in 2009 in Greensburg, IN. I love interacting with people and being part of a fast-paced work environment. In 2023, I found an opportunity to move to Indianapolis and continue my dental career. Working in a specialty office has utilized my attention to detail and provided new challenges for me to conquer.

In my free time, I prefer to be outdoors (in fair weather) to work out, and spending time with my two adult children.

Sarah - dental hygienist

I began my dental career in 1982 as a dental assistant and earned my associate’s degree in dental hygiene in 1988. Helping my patients regain their oral health is so rewarding, whether I’m providing non-surgical periodontal treatment or simple oral hygiene instruction. It’s been my pleasure to treat all the wonderful patients who I have gotten to know at Indy East Periodontics throughout my career, spanning more than 40 years.

I have two grown children and four grandchildren who light up my life. My husband and I enjoyed traveling together. My sister and I are slow but long-distance runners. We have completed more than nine full marathons and several half-marathons! I also enjoy baking and feeding it to my office family.

Betsy - dental hygienist

I earned my Associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1974 and joined Indy East in 1983. I love the fact that hygienists can make a difference in patients’ lives while addressing their dental concerns and improving their dental health for a lifetime. As a hygienist, I get to see my patients every six months, which makes me feel like they’re family.

I am happily married with two adult daughters. My free time is spent hiking with the Indianapolis Hiking Club, bicycling, gardening, kayaking, and playing pickleball.

Haimes, Tonya

I began my career in dentistry as an expanded functions dental assistant in 2000. I quickly knew that I had a passion for dentistry and wanted to further my career. I earned many certificates in continuing education, and ultimately, I decided to go back to school. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from IU School of Dentistry. I love being on the preventive side of dentistry, where I can help educate patients in a variety of ways to help them improve their oral health. My goal as a dental hygienist is to help all patients improve their oral health so they can smile with confidence!

I am happily married to my husband, OJ, and we stay very busy with our two children attending many sporting events. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and little dog, Ozzy, and trying new restaurants.

I am a recent graduate of both high school and dental assisting school. I prefer dental surgery to general dentistry because I love seeing the before and after treatment of patients. Helping patients achieve good periodontal health is a top priority in my dental career.

In my spare time, I prefer to be outdoors and take my dog for walks.
