What is a Periodontist? Periodontists receive several additional years of education beyond dental school. A periodontist is a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal gum disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Periodontists are also experts in the treatment of oral inflammation, bleeding gums and severe Gingivitis, and Cosmetic Gum Procedures. Dr. Glendale Lim is a board-certified periodontist.

Being a periodontist, I am in the position to help my patients live healthier lives by removing and managing disease. But, I can also help them live happier lives through our services to replace missing teeth and improve the cosmetic look of their smiles. Meet Dr. Glendale Lim, DDS, MS, MPH
Board Certified Periodontist in Indianapolis
Dr. Glendale Lim is a board-certified periodontist. Dr. Lim was born and spent her early childhood in Taiwan before moving to Marion, Ohio, for high school. Prior to embarking on the journey of periodontics, Dr. Lim received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Master of Public Health at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
After completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan, she continued specialty training in periodontics and implantology, also at the University of Michigan (a true wolverine!). Dr. Lim has received multiple recognitions for her achievements in dentistry, including induction into the dental honor fraternity Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) and the Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics award from the American Academy of Periodontology society.
Prior to joining Indy East Periodontics & Dental Implants, Dr. Lim was a clinical faculty member of the Indiana University School of Dentistry and practiced in Chicago suburbs.
Being trained at one of the top-ranked dental schools in the United States, Dr. Lim has expertise across the full scope of periodontics and implant therapy. She truly values the core development of strong patient-provider rapport and strives to achieve the most aesthetic clinical outcomes possible.
Outside of periodontics, Dr. Lim enjoys traveling, is an avid college (Big Ten!) football fan, and loves to spend sunny days wandering around the state and national parks with her family and fur baby.
